    Dan will help you take your acrylic painting to the next level in this continuation of his introductory course. Building off the brush techniques covered in his first class, Dan will show you how to use composition to lead your eye through a piece and create a beautiful acrylic waterscape.

    Acrylics 101 Materials List - This list of materials is meant to serve as a guide, a recommendation. I will have these materials or similar available for class use if you want to purchase them for $40 per student. If you already have materials, they should work just fine. Purchase whatever materials that fit your budget and needs. Products from this list available only from Cheap Joe’s Art Stuff: Total is $110 before shipping. They usually offer shipping and discount promo coupons.
    Paint Brand: American Journey Mill Strength Professional Acrylic (Cheap Joe’s House Brand) Colors I recommend. For starters and mixing you should have a blue, yellow, red, black and white.
    Cobalt Blue Hue Cadmium Yellow Medium Cadmium Red Titanium White Mars Black
    Additional colors that are helpful but perhaps not necessary include:

    Water Container Cool whip or butter containers work for starters.
    Rags Old towels or rags. 3-4, for cleanup and dabbing brushes on.
    Palette If you just want something to start out with (one time use of paint), use disposable plastic or foam plates. If you want something that will keep you acrylics wet over several weeks, invest in a Mastersons stay-wet palette: Sta-Wet Super Pro Palette
