In this three-hour workshop, all the basics of drawing the human body from a live model will be covered. We will produce many drawings using a variety of mediums, such as charcoal, pencil, and conte crayon. Beginning with quick gestural sketches, we will aim to see and capture the essential movement of a pose. Then we will slow down to examine shapes and the structure of the body. Finally, we will use shading to enhance three dimensionality.
