The SCSU Department of Music presents the Big Sing Honor Choir Festival concert with guest conductor Mary Kay Geston at 5:00 p.m. on February 1 in Ritsche Auditorium at St. Cloud State University. Dr. Geston is artistic director and conductor of Great River Chorale in St. Cloud, MN. She has been a guest conductor at universities in Taiwan and for the Korean Choral Directors Association in South Korea. She has directed all state, honor, and festival choirs in Kentucky, Colorado, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Nebraska, North Dakota, and South Dakota, and has been a presenter at state, division, and national conferences of ACDA, NCACDA, SWACDA, National Association for Music Educators, Minnesota Music Educators Association, National Association of Teachers of Singing, and American Guild of Organists. Choirs under her direction have performed multiple times at state and division ACDA conferences, the MMEA Mid-Winter Clinic, and in 2003 the UNW Women's Chorale performed with the Minnesota Orchestra.

The concert will include performances by St. Cloud State University Concert Choir, Chamber Singers and the Big Sing Festival Chorus — a select choir with roughly 150 high school and collegiate choral musicians.
