Adam Houghton (Associate Professor of Theater at CSB|SJU) and Tom Darnall (Professor Emeritus of Theater at CSB|SJU) will perform in Caryl Churchill’s play A Number on January 16-18 in the Colman Theater, BAC. Free tickets are available at this website: csbsju.edu/FreeTiksToANumber

Tom Darnall plays Salter, who, as a young father wanted to erase his past and start life over, so he gave his four-year-old son up for adoption after having him cloned. Then Salter raised his son’s clone in idyllic conditions. Now forty years later the hospital contacts the clone with the truth that he is not the original son—and the doctor who created the clone secretly made twenty additional copies who are all living lives of their own. Now Salter must face the truth as his son and the clones (all played by Adam Houghton) confront him. Churchill’s play brilliantly builds intrigue with each successive line. The arguments and the emotional tension are compelling.
