Celebrate the summer solstice with The Okee Dokee Brothers and Saint John’s Arboretum. Collegeville Kidstock is a family-friendly outdoor festival on Friday, June 21 from 4:30-7:30 p.m. The event is free, but suggested donations of $10 per family will help support Saint John’s Arboretum environmental and outdoor education.

The highlight of Collegeville Kidstock is a performance by the Grammy award winning artists, The Okee Dokee Brothers on our outdoor stage. The Okee Dokee Brothers – childhood friends Joe Mailander and Justin Lansing – produce family music with a goal to “inspire children and their parents to get outside and experience nature.” Their 2012 album Can You Canoe? won a Grammy for Best Children’s Music Album in the 55th Grammy Awards.

The festival begins at 4:30 p.m. on Watab Picnic Grounds in Saint John’s Abbey Arboretum. Bring a picnic supper, or purchase your meal from the Saint John’s Parish Center at the event. Enjoy a variety of outdoor activities, including canoeing, a bonfire with s’mores, educational tables, and live music leading up to The Okee Dokee Brothers performance beginning at 6:00 p.m.

Parking will be available at the Saint John’s Parish Center and at Saint John’s University. In the event of inclement weather, the festival will be moved indoors to the Warner Palaestra on the Saint John’s University campus.
