Footloose is a musical theater production based on the successful 1984 movie by the same name. It was first performed on Broadway in 1998. Everyone will recognize such hits as "Footloose", "Holding Out for a Hero", "Let's Hear It for the Boy" and "Almost Paradise", as well as remember the high energy dancing.

Footloose is the story of Ren McCormack, a teenager from the big city who moves to small town Bomont where dancing is illegal. Ren struggles with the town bully, teaches a friend to overcome his fear of dancing and falls in love with the local Reverend's daughter. Ultimately, Ren makes an impassioned plea at a town meeting for the dance ban to be removed. Ren is unsuccessful at first, but the Reverend is moved and the local teenagers are allowed to hold their unforgettable and iconic dance.

Permission to perform granted by R&H Theatricals.
    Co-sponsored by Kimball Community Education.
