This original production explores the geography of the American Dream from picket fences to melting pots. Along the way, you are invited to re-imagine the American Dream for a new era. Surrealism is used as a guiding artistic influence throughout the play, which is structured around channel surfing through different shows about the American Dream.

American Dreaming is a devised production, meaning that the cast and crew have worked in a collaborative way to create an original show with multiple viewpoints. It is the result of a year-long partnership between the Theatre Program and the Communication Studies Department’s Players Performance Group.

The show will take place on Center Stage of the Performing Arts Center, and will begin at 7:30 p.m. from April 23rd through 27th, closing with a matinee performance on the 28th at 2:00 p.m. Tickets are $10, $7 for students and seniors, and free with SCSU I.D. Tickets are available at the Atwood Center (320-308-4636) or
