Paul Imholte is a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and singer. He is best known as a hammered dulcimer player, but he is also on a first-name basis with the fiddle, mandolin, guitar and banjo, and has been seen in the company of the viola, cello, Autoharp, harmonica, jawharp, and spoons. (Forks and butter-knives at mealtimes only, though.) Paul writes and performs music that reflects Central Minnesota: his songs deal with old barns, tractors, kids, migrant workers, rutabagas, reluctant Springs, smoking horses, and ghosts in the attic. He also plays with Ring of Kerry, The Tarveys, and the Cristina Seaborn Trio. Paul has released nine CDs and is set to release an album of children music this summer.
Five & Dime Series is a bit more casual than the Main Series concerts: Each performance is $5 or $10 at the door, with no advance sales or reserved seating. Regular restaurant service plus music, starting at 7:30.
