    Art, crafts, music, food and more in store for you at the Lemonade Concert and Art Fair 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. June 27 at St. Cloud State University.

    The 40th anniversary of St. Cloud State's signature summer event will feature free performances by the St. Cloud Symphony Orchestra (SCSO) and the opening ceremony of Granite City Days, St. Cloud's annual community festival.

    On the grounds surrounding Atwood Memorial Center, more than 250 vendors are expected to offer stained glass, pottery, fiber crafts, glassware, photography, paintings, clothing, lawn ornaments, metal sculpture, lemonade, sweet corn, smoked turkey legs, kettle corn, artisan candy, burgers, sandwiches, ice cream, shaved ice, smoothies and more.

    Mayor Dave Kleis will honor recipients of the Rock-On Award during the 7 p.m. Granite City Days opening ceremony. The award recognizes St. Cloud individuals, organizations and businesses who have demonstrated outstanding civic participation, leadership or achievements.

    The 8 p.m. SCSO program will include patriotic tunes and popular pieces such as Richard Wagner's "Ride of the Valkyries," the finale from Anton Dvoøák's "New World Symphony" and John Barry's "Dances with Wolves." Conducting the symphony will be Daniel O'Bryant, assistant professor and director of orchestras at St. Cloud State.

    A children's area, called the Little Lemons Art Park, will offer art projects, craft projects, performance art, and more. Staff from the Paramount Theatre and Visual Arts Center will coordinate the activities 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. south of Stewart Hall.

    Performing during the day will a variety of individual and groups including:
    • Paul Imholte, multi-instrumentalist | Roving the grounds 11 a.m. - 6:30 p.m.
    • Wild Spirit Band with Douglas Wood, bluegrass | Atwood Mall Mainstage 12 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.
    • Home Free, vocal band | Atwood Mall Mainstage 2:30 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
    Farmer's Market vendors will offer fresh produce, plants and more between the Miller Center and Administrative Services Building.
    Lemonade Concert and Art Fair is the kickoff event for the summer edition of Celebrate St. Cloud State. It is managed by the Department of Campus Involvement, with sponsorship by Health Partners, an integrated health care system based in Bloomington, Minn. Visit the Lemonade 2013 website.

        Free and open to the public

        Parking in campus ground lots is free and open to the public. There is also a free shuttle that runs from K/Q lots to 7th street between Barden Park and James W. Miller Learning Resources Center.

        The SCSU Parking Ramp will be open with a charge of $1.00/hour or $8.00/day.
